About Septic Systems

Every Year Thousands of homeowners have to face the unpleasant problem of a failing septic system — and the cost of replacing your system can be in the thousands.

When We Inspect a System:

First, we review your record of the system's age, maintenance and/or problems.

Next we evaluate the septic tank performance. To do this properly, we have to open the tank to view inside. For some tanks, we need to open the manhole(s), or for other tanks, we take a section of the lid off. The tank must be pumped in order to inspect its components. Baffles in the tank are checked for proper functioning. The baffles keep scum inside the tank, so that effluent leaving the tank comes from the clear liquid layer.P Then the leaching system is inspected for distribution, surface water, surfacing effluents, system sizing and performance.

The homeowner or buyer will receive a detailed report of the inspection for his/her records...
